cyanotypes are one of the oldest forms of photography, discovered in the 1800’s. using light-sensitive chemicals, you can create detailed camera-less prints of objects on paper, fabric and other materials. i make my cyanotype prints with real flowers and leaves from my garden, as well as other objects to produce my designs.

to preserve your handmade cyanotype piece, store it away from light. wash sparingly with phosphate-free liquid soap (most laundry detergents are, but check to make sure), you can use the washing machine, but hand washing is better! avoid harsh chemicals. air dry or tumble on low. if your piece fades, you can attempt to restore it with a diluted hydrogen peroxide bath or embrace the natural color changes over time as a sign of the piece's unique character! -
clothing items are thrifted and secondhand, meaning their original “sizes” vary widely and i provide measurements instead, in efforts to provide a more accurate way to check the fit. items are laid flat when measured.the wide measurement is taken “pit to pit” meaning just under the arms. the length is taken from the collar straight down to the bottom of the garment, any straps are not counted in the length. measurements are provided on each item listing, and i encourage you to compare them to your own favorite fits to see how things will fit you.

all garments are secondhand and/or thrifted, meaning they may show signs of normal wear but i make sure to grab pieces with lots of life left so you can love them for a long time!
